Lewandowski shared the announcement through an Instagram video highlighting his most memorable moments in the Blaugrana shirt. Alongside the footage, the veteran forward posted a personal message reflecting on his journey in Catalonia, describing his time at the club as challenging, fulfilling, and complete.
“After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on,” Lewandowski wrote. “I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. Four seasons, three championships.”
He added that the connection with supporters left a lasting mark on him, saying Catalonia had become his “place on earth.”
The former Bayern Munich striker also paid tribute to Barcelona’s leadership, singling out club president Joan Laporta for trusting him during a crucial rebuilding phase.
