Applications have officially opened for the Overseas Pakistanis Summer Scholars Program 2026 under URAAN Pakistan, giving students from around the world a chance to engage with Pakistan’s governance and development projects.
The programme is open to both Pakistan-origin students and foreign nationals. It is designed to provide hands-on exposure to public policy, development planning, governance systems, and national-level projects under the mentorship of senior government officials and experts.
Two-track structure announced
According to the announcement, the programme will run in two formats. One track will last six weeks and the other for eight weeks.
Selected participants will receive a stipend of up to Rs120,000, making it one of the more competitive public sector internship-style programmes offered in the country.

Key dates and application process
The application deadline has been set for June 15, 2026. The programme itself is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2026.
Interested candidates can apply through the official online application form. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen global academic linkages and provide students with practical insight into Pakistan’s policy environment.
