The Sindh government has ordered an inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Board Intermediate Part-II results after complaints and reports circulated on social media, raising questions about the preparation and announcement of examination results.

As part of the action, the government has suspended Ejaz Ali Kaka, Deputy Controller of the board’s Top Secret Branch, and formed a three-member committee to investigate the allegations.

According to the information provided about the government’s decision, Secretary of Universities and Boards Abbas Baloch issued the notification after approval from provincial minister Muhammad Ismail Rahoo.

The inquiry is intended to establish whether irregularities occurred during result preparation, answer-sheet checking, tabulation or the announcement process. The allegations have not yet been established as findings of the investigation.

Three-Member Committee to Examine Results

Professor Dr Arbeela Bhutto will head the inquiry committee. Additional Secretary Ameer Fazal Owaisi and Dr Nasrullah Pirzada have been appointed as its members.

According to the minister’s spokesperson, the committee will review results for the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups, with particular attention to position holders, the top 10 candidates, and students awarded A-1 and A grades.

The review is expected to examine relevant examination records to determine whether the results were compiled and announced according to the applicable procedures.

Answer-Sheet Checking and Tabulation Under Review

The investigation will cover several stages of the examination process, including the checking of answer sheets, compilation of marks and final result tabulation.

The committee will also examine records related to high-performing students to determine whether the reported concerns are supported by documentary evidence.

The inquiry is significant for students whose university admissions and academic plans may depend on their intermediate results. However, no result changes or findings of wrongdoing have been confirmed in the information available for this report.

Report Due Within 30 Days

The committee has been directed to submit its findings and recommendations to Muhammad Ismail Rahoo within 30 days.

Ejaz Ali Kaka has also been instructed to cooperate with the relevant authorities and the inquiry committee until the investigation is completed.

The final report is expected to help the provincial government determine whether procedural failures occurred and whether further administrative action is warranted.

Students and parents should rely on official notifications from the Sindh government and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad for verified updates. The board publishes examination information and results through its official website.
