Faisalabad’s Hira Qaiser has been crowned the winner of Pakistan Idol, bringing the music competition to a close with a star-studded Super Finale featuring performances from some of Pakistan’s biggest musical names.
The grand finale was held on Sunday night in an atmosphere filled with music, lights and colour, as audiences gathered to see the final contestants compete for the Pakistan Idol crown.
Hira Qaiser, who comes from a middle-class family, won over viewers and judges with her performances throughout the competition. Following her victory, the singer credited her success to the blessings of Allah and the prayers and support of her parents and family.
Speaking after being crowned Pakistan Idol winner, Hira said she was extremely happy and found it difficult to express the joy of winning the title in words.
Her consistent performances during the season helped her establish herself as one of the competition’s strongest contestants and ultimately secure the top prize.
Hira Qaiser wins Rs1.5 million prize
As the Pakistan Idol winner, Hira Qaiser received the Pakistan Idol shield along with a cash prize of Rs1.5 million.
The remaining seven finalists were also rewarded for reaching the final stage. Each finalist received a shield and Rs500,000 in prize money.
The finale was also screened at cinemas in Karachi and Faisalabad, allowing fans to experience the concluding episode on the big screen.
Several prominent figures from Pakistan’s entertainment and music industry attended the Karachi screening, including singer and music writer Shuja Haider, drama actor Misbah Khalid, Nazeer Hussain, Ayesha Jahanzeb, Kehkashan Faisal, Sara Mahmood and Zeeshan Chaudhry.
Atif Aslam headlines Pakistan Idol finale
One of the biggest highlights of the Pakistan Idol Super Finale was the special appearance of internationally acclaimed Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, whose performance added to the excitement of the evening.
Other leading artists, including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Bilal Maqsood and Zeb Bangash, also performed during the finale and received strong appreciation from the audience.
The Pakistan Idol judging panel — Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash, Bilal Maqsood and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan — shared their views on the finalists’ performances as the competition reached its decisive stage.

Pakistan Idol Season 3 announced
Badr Ikram, producer of Pakistan Idol, attended the Karachi cinema screening and reflected on the team’s efforts throughout the competition.
He said the production team had worked hard to find what it described as the voice of Pakistan and announced that Pakistan Idol Season 3 would be coming soon.
Ikram also promised that the next season would offer audiences an even more entertaining experience, setting the stage for the return of the popular Pakistani singing competition.
With Hira Qaiser taking home the title, the latest season of Pakistan Idol has ended on a high note, while the announcement of Season 3 gives aspiring singers another opportunity to compete for the national spotlight.
