Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Punjab Electric Bike Scheme 2026, a major initiative designed to improve transportation for students across the province.
Under the program, 100,000 electric bikes will be distributed to eligible students, with female students receiving bikes free of cost while male students will have access to interest-free installment plans.

- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

- A valid Punjab domicile is mandatory.
- Students must possess either a valid motorcycle driving licence or a learner’s driving permit.
- Applicants must not own any registered motor vehicle.
- Only one electric bike per family will be allotted, even if multiple siblings qualify.
