Xiaomi has quietly listed the Poco Pad C1 on its global website, effectively confirming the tablet’s arrival without a formal launch event.
The move signals Xiaomi’s continued strategy of soft launches for select devices, especially in the competitive budget tablet segment.
The Poco Pad C1 is a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, which debuted last month. As expected, the hardware remains unchanged, positioning the new Poco-branded tablet as a familiar yet refreshed option for global markets.
The tablet features a 9.7-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2048 by 1280 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate, offering smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness. With peak brightness reaching up to 600 nits, the screen is designed to remain usable even in brighter environments.
In terms of design, the Poco Pad C1 measures 226.51 by 147.97 by 7.4 millimetres and weighs 406 grams. It will be available in blue and grey colour options, maintaining a slim and lightweight profile suitable for everyday use, media consumption, and casual productivity.
Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset. The tablet is offered in configurations with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, paired with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, targeting users who want reliable performance for browsing, streaming, and light multitasking.
For imaging and video calls, the Poco Pad C1 comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, while a 5-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and virtual meetings. While not photography-focused, the setup is in line with expectations for tablets in this category.
The device is powered by a 7,600mAh battery, which should comfortably support a full day of mixed usage. Charging is capped at 18W via a wired connection, keeping charging speeds modest but practical for a mid-range tablet.
Xiaomi has not yet revealed official pricing for the Poco Pad C1. The tablet is expected to roll out gradually across different retailers and regions, with availability varying by market.
With its high-refresh-rate display and familiar hardware, the Poco Pad C1 is positioned as a value-driven option for users seeking an affordable Android tablet experience.
