The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has pitched introducing a unique health package for government employees under the Sehat Card Plus program.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to review measures aimed at making the Sehat Card Plus program more organized, effective, and sustainable.
Officials also proposed increasing coverage for expensive medical treatments and revising service rates under the program.
During the meeting, the chief minister said the government’s goal is to improve access to quality healthcare across the province. He said reforms and modernization of basic health centers are aimed at providing healthcare facilities closer to people’s homes.
He asked the relevant authorities to guarantee that health-related matters are addressed without unnecessary delays.
The chief minister also ordered officials to take measures to prevent misuse of the Sehat Card facility.
