Govt Opens Minority Welfare Fund Scholarships for 2026-27

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has invited applications for the Pakistan Minorities’ Welfare Fund Scholarships for the financial year 2026-27.

The scholarship programme is open to minority students enrolled in government educational institutions across Pakistan.

According to the ministry, financial assistance will be available to eligible students from the primary level through professional education. Scholarships will be awarded according to the ministry’s approved policy and applicable rates.

Eligibility Criteria

Only regular minority students studying at government institutions can apply.

Applicants must have passed their latest annual examination with at least 50 percent marks. Students studying under a GPA system must also submit an evaluation sheet issued by their institution.

The monthly income of the applicant’s parents or guardian must not exceed Rs. 80,000.

Students studying at private institutions are not eligible. Those enrolled in diploma, MPhil and LLB programmes also cannot apply.

Applicants already receiving a scholarship, stipend or other financial assistance from another source are also ineligible.

Required Documents

Applicants must provide the following documents:

  • A printed copy of the completed online application with its computer-generated number
  • Attested copies of the latest marks sheet, DMC or progress report
  • Attested marksheets for the last two semesters if the institution follows a semester system
  • A GPA evaluation sheet, where applicable
  • The original income certificate of the applicant’s father or guardian
  • An attested copy of the applicant’s CNIC or NADRA B-Form
  • A bank account maintenance certificate issued on the bank’s official letterhead

How to Apply

Eligible students must first submit an online application through the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony at mora.gov.pk.

The online form must be submitted within 30 days of the advertisement’s publication.

Applicants must then send a printed copy of the application, its computer-generated number, and all required documents to the ministry within five days of submitting the online form.

The ministry will only consider applications that are submitted online before the printed documents are dispatched.

Applicants can send their documents to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, 8th Floor, Green Trust Tower, Blue Area, Islamabad.
