A new experimental Chinese language and culture course has launched in Islamabad as part of efforts to deepen cultural exchange between Pakistan and China.
The course was inaugurated at a ceremony titled “The Language of the Eastern Silk Road,” with Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi attending as chief guest.
Around 50 Participants to Learn Language, Calligraphy, and Traditions
Roughly 50 Pakistani and Chinese participants are taking part in the program, which introduces students to the Chinese language, calligraphy, traditional festivals, and other elements of Chinese culture.
Minister Calls Language a “Bridge Between Civilizations”
Speaking at the ceremony, Khichi said cultural and language exchange programs can play a meaningful role in strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and China, describing language as a bridge between civilizations that helps build lasting trust between nations.
The minister said the program is meant to serve as a long-term platform for cultural exchange among young people, and encouraged participants to become ambassadors of Pakistan-China friendship by deepening their understanding of Chinese language and culture.

Underscoring the closeness of the two countries’ relationship, Khichi described Pakistan-China friendship as higher than the mountains, deeper than the oceans and sweeter than honey.
