Air Link Communication Limited (PSX: AIRLINK) has entered Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market with the launch of its electric motorcycle brand, AirV, introducing 11 models across six different series.
The official launch ceremony is being held in Lahore on November 4, 2026, marking the company’s expansion into electric mobility and adding a new player to Pakistan’s increasingly competitive electric two-wheeler market.
According to the company, the newly introduced AirV electric bikes offer a driving range of up to 200 kilometres on a single charge, depending on the model and variant. The range positions the lineup for customers seeking alternatives to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles.
The launch also reflects Air Link’s efforts to diversify its business beyond its existing electronics and manufacturing operations by entering the electric vehicle sector.
AirV Electric Bikes Introduce New Technology Features
Air Link has introduced several technology-focused features across its AirV electric motorcycle lineup, aiming to differentiate the brand in Pakistan’s electric mobility market.
The announced features include cruise control, regenerative battery technology, Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality and anti-theft systems.
Regenerative battery technology is designed to recover some energy during deceleration and braking, helping improve overall energy efficiency. NFC functionality can support contactless identification and access features, while integrated anti-theft systems are intended to provide additional security for motorcycle owners.
The company has introduced 11 electric bike models across six series, although detailed specifications, individual model prices and battery configurations were not included in the initial launch announcement.
The availability of different models could help AirV address varying customer requirements, including daily commuting and other personal or commercial mobility needs.
Air Link to Manufacture Electric Bikes in Lahore
Air Link Communication Limited will manufacture its AirV electric motorcycles at its existing production facility in Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore.
Using its established manufacturing infrastructure could help the company enter the electric motorcycle industry without building an entirely new production facility.
The decision also reflects a broader strategy to utilise existing industrial capabilities and expand into emerging technology-driven sectors.
Air Link’s nationwide distribution network is another important part of the expansion plan, potentially allowing the company to reach customers in different parts of Pakistan.
AirV Targets Individual Buyers and Business Customers
Air Link plans to target both individual consumers and enterprise customers through its new electric motorcycle brand.
The company aims to develop a scalable electric mobility business by combining local manufacturing with its distribution capabilities.
The launch comes as electric motorcycles are attracting increasing attention in Pakistan amid concerns about petrol expenses, transportation costs and the need for more energy-efficient mobility options.
However, the brand’s market performance will depend on several factors, including pricing, battery performance, charging infrastructure, after-sales support and the availability of replacement parts.
With 11 models introduced at launch, AirV’s entry adds another competitor to Pakistan’s electric motorcycle industry. Its ability to establish a strong dealer network and deliver reliable products will be important in determining its position in the market.
