The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released version 5.7.4 of the PakID mobile app, introducing several new features and improvements aimed at making identity-related services more convenient for citizens.
The latest PakID app update includes a dedicated Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) section, which will support the future registration and tracking of FIA-related complaints.
NADRA has also simplified the process of adding family members when a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) contains incomplete family information.
PakID App Adds Automatic Signature Cropping
The new version of the NADRA PakID app introduces automatic signature cropping, allowing users to adjust their signatures more easily while completing applications.
The feature is designed to simplify the application process and reduce the need for users to manually edit signature images before submission.
Digital CNIC, NICOP and POC Added to PakID
One of the major additions in PakID version 5.7.4 is access to digital versions of key identity documents.
Users can now access digital copies of their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs) and Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs) through the app.
The PakID platform also continues to provide printing and delivery services for eligible identity documents.
The addition of digital identity documents is expected to make it easier for citizens to access their credentials through their smartphones without relying solely on physical cards.
NADRA Seeks Suggestions From Users
NADRA has also invited PakID users to suggest features and improvements they would like to see in future versions of the application.
The authority said user feedback would help identify additional services and improvements that could be incorporated into upcoming PakID updates.
The latest release further expands the range of digital identity services available through the NADRA PakID app, with new tools aimed at simplifying applications, family data management and access to digital identity documents.
