Rawalpindi Issues Safety Directives to Private Schools Amid Monsoon Rains

Private schools across Rawalpindi have been told to step up safety measures as persistent monsoon rains continue in the district.

The district administration has issued urgent instructions to school management to protect students and staff from rain-related risks.

Schools told to inspect buildings

School administrators have been directed to clear rooftops and prevent water from accumulating on school buildings.

They must also inspect rooftops and other vulnerable parts of their buildings for structural weaknesses.

Any damaged, dilapidated or unsafe structure must be reported to the district administration immediately.

Electrical hazards also under watch

Schools have also been ordered to secure electric poles, hanging wires and other potentially dangerous electrical fittings on their premises.

The measures are aimed at reducing the risk of accidents during wet weather.

Students to stay away from rooftops

The administration has further instructed schools to stop students from accessing rooftops and other high-risk areas during rainy conditions.

With monsoon rains continuing, school management have been asked to remain alert and address safety concerns without delay.
