Karachi Police are investigating claims that an alleged drug network linked to Anmol alias Pinky used popular snack packets to smuggle and deliver cocaine to customers across different parts of the city, according to officials familiar with the probe.
Anmol Pinky was arrested earlier this month during a joint raid at her apartment in Garden. The operation was carried out by police with the assistance of a civilian intelligence agency.
According to investigators, the case includes allegations of possession of narcotics and recovery of an unlicensed weapon.
Despite the arrest, investigators believe the suspected supply chain may still be active. According to police sources, individuals linked to the alleged network adopted new concealment and delivery techniques to avoid detection and continue distribution.
Investigation details suggest that cocaine was allegedly hidden inside packets of commonly available snacks, including chips and papad. These packets were then sealed and sent to buyers to avoid suspicion during transportation.
According to sources, the concealed snack packets were reportedly delivered to residential houses, bungalows, and restaurants in several localities of Karachi. Law enforcement officials believe the use of everyday food items helped the network move drugs discreetly without raising alarms.
In one reported exchange reviewed by investigators, a supplier allegedly informed a customer that a rider would deliver multiple packets of chips, adding that one packet would contain a separate concealed sachet of cocaine.
Police are also examining the financial trail linked to the alleged operation. According to investigators, people associated with the network continued to circulate fresh bank account numbers for payments. These reportedly included digital payment methods and one-time-use accounts shared directly with buyers to limit traceability.
The case has drawn increased attention within law enforcement circles as authorities assess how the alleged network managed logistics, payments, and concealment even after the arrest of its alleged central figure.
According to police officials, further arrests may follow as investigators work to identify suppliers, couriers, and facilitators involved in the wider distribution chain.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities say additional evidence is being collected to establish the full scope of the alleged operation.
