Shaheen Afridi reveals secrets behind Pakistan’s win over Australia.

Pakistan cricket team’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has opened up about his captain’s message which helped Pakistan beat Australia in the three-match ODI series.

Under Mohammad Rizwan’s captaincy, the first Pakistani team smashed Australia on their home ground after 22 years after winning the third ODI with Shaheen, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf scripting two famous wins for their team.

Shaheen, in the post-match interviews, revealed the advice from his captain which helped their side achieve this milestone. He said,

Our skipper Rizzi [Mohammad Rizwan] has always said to go for the attack and we are just trying to do the same thing. We just follow what we practice in the nets and nothing special. Just try and hit the right areas in Australia.

“We prepared really well and with a new captain we are all very excited and he is more attacking which is a boost for us” Shaheen Afridi added.

Pakistan’s bowling line-up finally looked like its old self in the series with Shaheen, Rauf, Naseem, and Hasnain all contributing to the team’s cause.

Rizwan only used a 5th bowler for three overs throughout the 3 ODIs which showcased his faith in the four main bowlers and they repaid his faith in full.

With the T20 series up next, Rizwan and his team will be hoping to continue their fantastic tour of Australia thus far and add the T20 series crown as well.

The first of the three T20Is will be played on November 14th at the Gabba.

Rizwan and his teammates will be given a break following the series against Australia with Salman Ali Agha leading the team before the renowned names return for Pakistan’s series against South Africa in December.
