MBS is renowned for spearheading significant reforms across various sectors in Saudi Arabia, including the financial and social realms.
His initiatives have garnered attention globally for their impact on the kingdom’s trajectory.
Saudi Arabia saw major changes under MBS leadership such as lifting the ban on women driving, allowing women to attend mixed-gender events, and abolishing the requirement for women to obtain male permission for travel and passports.

“I am honored to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 competition. This marks the first participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe pageant,” Alqahtani posted on her Instagram account.
On the other hand, Iran will also be making its debut at the Miss Universe pageant this year, joining Saudi Arabia as a first-time participant.
Last year’s Miss Universe pageant made headlines for its inclusivity, with the participation of two transgender contestants and plus-size model Jane Dipika from Nepal, who made it to the semi-finals. It’s heartening to see the pageant embracing diversity and representing a wide spectrum of beauty.
