Lahore’s Mazda goods transporters are giving customers some relief after the sharp drop in diesel prices.
The Pakistan Mini Mazda Goods Transport Association has announced a 10% cut in transport fares following the Rs32 reduction in diesel prices.
Association President Haji Sher Ali said the decision was made to pass the benefit of cheaper fuel on to the public.
He also pledged continued cooperation with the government in its efforts to control inflation.
Transporters pass fuel savings to customers
According to the association, the diesel price reduction has lowered operating costs for Mazda goods transporters.
The group said cutting fares would help reduce the financial burden on customers and support wider efforts to bring down prices.

Sher Ali welcomed the government’s decision to reduce petroleum prices, calling it a positive step for the transport sector.
“We will fully cooperate with the government to reduce inflation,” he said.
Public transport fares also cut
The fare reduction is not limited to goods transporters.
Public transport operators have also announced a 10% reduction in fares following the diesel price cut.
Transporters said they would continue supporting measures aimed at providing relief to citizens.
With diesel prices now significantly lower, passengers and businesses are expected to benefit from reduced transportation costs.
