The repatriation of Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan is continuing at a steady pace, with authorities confirming large-scale returns through the Chaman border.
According to official data, more than one million Afghan nationals have so far crossed back into Afghanistan via the Chaman border, making it one of the busiest exit points under Pakistan’s ongoing enforcement drive.
Officials said the process remains active and is being carried out in coordination with local administrations and security agencies.
Government sources confirmed that the crackdown against illegally residing Afghan nationals is not limited to border areas alone.
Enforcement operations are continuing across Balochistan, where authorities are identifying undocumented residents and facilitating their return in line with federal directives.

Officials reiterated that the repatriation campaign is part of a broader policy to regulate residency, enforce immigration laws, and address security and administrative concerns.
They added that the process is being implemented in phases to manage pressure on border facilities while ensuring an orderly return of undocumented individuals.
The government has maintained that the repatriation drive will continue until all illegally residing foreign nationals are accounted for, while emphasizing that the policy does not affect legally registered refugees or those holding valid documentation.
