Saad Munawar makes history as first Pakistani to summit Everest from North.

Pakistani mountaineer Saad Munawar etched his name in history on Saturday by successfully scaling Mount Everest — the world’s highest peak at 8,848 meters — from its northern face, becoming the first Pakistani to achieve this feat.

His official Facebook page confirmed the groundbreaking achievement, stating, “Saad waved the green crescent flag atop the world’s highest peak.”

This historic climb marks the first time a Pakistani mountaineer has conquered Everest from the challenging northern side, a route that originates in Tibet and is considered more demanding due to its harsh conditions and technical challenges.

Earlier this month, two other Pakistani climbers also accomplished notable achievements, showcasing the country’s growing prominence in the world of high-altitude mountaineering.

Saad’s triumph not only brings immense pride to Pakistan but also inspires a new generation of climbers to aim for the highest peaks.

Mount Everest, known officially and locally as Sagarmatha in Nepal or Qomolangma in Tibet, is Earth’s highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. The China–Nepal border runs across its summit point.
