ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistani President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar died on Monday, according to his family.
Rafiq Tarar had been ill for a long time, according to family sources, and the time and location of his funeral prayers will be announced later today.
“My grandfather Muhammad Rafiq Tarar passed dead,” his grandson and PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar wrote on Twitter.
Muhammad Rafiq Tarar, who was born on November 2, 1929, died today at the age of 92. From January 1998 to June 2001, he was the country’s president.
He formerly worked as a judge at Pakistan’s Supreme Court.
