Speaking Truth to Oppressed

All assets already declared before FBR and ECP: Bilawal’s spokesperson on Dubai leaks

PPP will not be part of the coalition government, says Bilawal Bhutto

In response to the recent Dubai property leaks, a spokesperson for the PPP chairman assured that all assets, both domestic and foreign, belonging to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, have been duly declared before the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The spokesperson highlighted the fact that Bilawal and Aseefa grew up in exile.

“The entire world knows that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Aseefa Bibi grew up in exile,” he said.

Regarding the Dubai properties, it was clarified that former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and her children resided in these properties during their exile period.

Following her untimely assassination, Bilawal and Aseefa inherited these properties.

Furthermore, the spokesperson highlighted that comprehensive details of these assets are openly accessible on the ECP’s website.

“Details of Bilawal and Aseefa’s Dubai assets are already public.” He said: “There is nothing new in the Dubai leaks as everything is available to FBR. Nothing is illegal. Apparently, it is a story but not a scandal. Any action based on malice will be challenged on the relevant forums.”

On the other hand, Mohsin Naqvi has responded to wife’s name’s inclusion in Dubai leaks report.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Tuesday that the property purchased in Dubai under his wife’s name was declared with relevant authorities after an explosive report revealed that several prominent Pakistanis owned assets in the Gulf emirate.

“The property bought in my wife’s name has been declared. The property was also shown in the tax returns filed [with relevant authorities],” Naqvi, who also served as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab, said in a statement.
