Taking office for the second time as the 14th President of Pakistan on March 10, Zardari’s inauguration was overseen by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.
His victory, supported by a coalition of allied parties, saw him secure an impressive 411 electoral votes across the country’s legislative bodies.

Detailing the electoral breakdown, Zardari’s mandate was particularly strong in the National Assembly, where he garnered 225 votes, surpassing his nearest rival Achakzai by a significant margin.
Similar success was seen in provincial assemblies, notably in Sindh where he earned 53 votes compared to his opponent’s mere three.
Zardari’s decision to forego his salary echoes his previous term in office from 2008 to 2013, during which he navigated Pakistan through challenging economic terrain.
Additionally, his tenure as a member of the National Assembly since August 2018 underscores his continued dedication to public service.
