Poll shows Michelle Obama leads Democratic contenders to replace Biden in 2024 election. In a recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports, findings have emerged suggesting a notable shift in Democratic sentiment regarding the upcoming presidential elections.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has emerged as a leading contender to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic party’s candidate, according to the survey results.

The poll revealed that nearly half of the Democrats surveyed, approximately 48%, expressed approval for the party to seek an alternative candidate to Biden before the November elections.

This sentiment contrasts with 38% of Democrats who indicated disapproval of such a move.

Michelle Obama garnered significant support among potential replacements, securing approximately 20% of the votes in the poll.

Other notable contenders included Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Harris received around 15% of the votes, while 12% favored a rematch between Hillary Clinton and former President Donald Trump.

Obama last month expressed deep fear about the upcoming elections, saying it “haunts” her. “The fact that people think that government-‘eh,, does it really even do anything?’ – and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted.’ And I worry sometimes that we do. Those are the things that keep me up,” she had said.

Despite these preferences among Democratic voters, the 2024 US election landscape has largely been perceived as a rematch between Biden and Trump.

Despite concerns about his age, Biden has maintained that he is the most qualified candidate for the presidency.

Meanwhile, Trump has adamantly declared his intention to run again, despite the looming possibility of facing criminal conviction prior to the election, which could potentially result in a lengthy prison sentence.

As Poll shows Michelle Obama leads Democratic contenders to replace Biden in 2024 election, she has yet to announce her candidacy officially.

However, her recent statements reflect deep apprehension about the state of democracy and the upcoming elections, emphasizing the crucial importance of not taking democratic institutions for granted.
