Asus Launches ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 at Computex 2026

TAIPEI: Asus has officially unveiled the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20, a premium limited-edition gaming mouse launched to commemorate 20 years of its Republic of Gamers division.

The announcement was made at Computex Taipei 2026, one of Asia’s largest technology exhibitions.

According to Asus, the new mouse is part of the broader ROG Edition 20 anniversary lineup, celebrating two decades of gaming-focused hardware innovation.

Premium collector-focused design

The ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 features a semi-transparent black chassis paired with authentic 24K gold-plated accents. The design intentionally reveals parts of the internal structure, giving the mouse a high-end collector aesthetic.

Gold-colored side buttons, a gold scroll wheel, gold detailing around the mouse feet, and a dedicated anniversary theme are included. The left mouse button is engraved with the “ROG 06 ←→ ∞” marking, symbolising the brand’s journey since its launch in 2006.

Despite its luxury materials, the mouse weighs just 82 grams. Asus says it uses Corning Gorilla Glass mouse feet to ensure smoother glide, higher durability, and consistent performance on different surfaces.

Built for competitive esports

Under the hood, the mouse is powered by the ROG AimPoint Pro 65K optical sensor. It supports a maximum sensitivity of 65,000 DPI, tracking speeds of up to 800 inches per second, and acceleration up to 70G.

Users can adjust lift-off distance between 0.7mm and 2.0mm, while Track on Glass technology allows accurate tracking even on glass surfaces.

Connectivity options include wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. Asus has also integrated ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless technology, delivering an 8,000Hz wireless polling rate without the need for an external polling booster.

According to the company, wireless latency is reduced to just 0.2 milliseconds, a feature aimed squarely at professional esports players and competitive FPS gamers.

Switches and software

The mouse uses ROG Optical Micro Switches rated for up to 100 million clicks. Configuration and customisation can be handled through Gear Link, allowing users to adjust settings directly from a web browser without downloading dedicated software.

Box contents

The retail package includes the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 mouse, SpeedNova 8K wireless receiver, receiver extender, ROG Paracord cable, grip tape, spare mouse feet, ROG stickers, a cleaning cloth, and user documentation.

Price and availability

Asus says the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 will be produced in limited quantities and remain available through the end of 2026. The gaming mouse carries a starting price of $260 and is currently available only in the United States.

Industry analysts say the product targets collectors and high-end esports users rather than mass-market buyers, reinforcing Asus ROG’s premium positioning in the global gaming hardware segment.
