Xiaomi 17T Series Leaks Reveal Specs, Design and Expected Prices

The Xiaomi 17T series has surfaced again in a fresh wave of leaks, revealing detailed specifications, design elements, and expected pricing ahead of its anticipated global launch.

According to reports circulating from European tech outlets, the lineup has already appeared in multiple certification listings, suggesting that launch preparations are in their final stages. Earlier speculation pointed to a possible debut as early as May, although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed a release date.

Design and build quality

Leaked renders shared by WinFuture and specifications reported by Dealabs indicate a clear distinction between the two models. The standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a plastic frame, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro may come with a more premium metal build.

Both devices are tipped to launch in Blue, Black, and Purple colour variants, continuing Xiaomi’s focus on youthful and bold design choices. The Xiaomi 17T Pro specs highlight the company’s strategy of offering flagship-level performance across different price segments.

Display and performance

The Xiaomi 17T is expected to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it may be powered by the Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The Pro variant is said to step up significantly, featuring a larger 6.83-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on the Dimensity 9500 processor, positioning it closer to premium flagship territory in terms of performance.

A mobile industry analyst said the shift reflects Xiaomi’s aggressive positioning in the upper mid-range segment, pointing to increasing competition in performance-focused smartphones.

Camera system

Camera specifications suggest a strong focus on imaging capabilities. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. A 32MP front camera is also expected.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro may upgrade the main sensor to a 50MP Light Fusion 950 unit while retaining the same telephoto, ultrawide, and selfie hardware. The Xiaomi 17T Pro specs indicate Xiaomi’s effort to differentiate models primarily through performance and sensor upgrades rather than a complete redesign.

Battery and software

Battery capacities also show a clear distinction between the two models. The standard variant is expected to include a 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the Pro version may pack a larger 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

Both devices are likely to run HyperOS based on Android 16, alongside connectivity features such as NFC, with the Pro model reportedly adding Wi-Fi 7 support.

Pricing expectations

In terms of pricing, leaks suggest the Xiaomi 17T could start at around $878 in France for the 12GB/256GB variant. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to be priced at approximately $1,170 for the 12GB/512GB model.

Xiaomi has consistently expanded its global mid-premium smartphone portfolio over the past several product cycles, aiming to strengthen its presence in European and Asian markets.

Experts suggest the Xiaomi 17T Pro specs reflect Xiaomi’s ongoing strategy of bridging flagship-level specifications with relatively competitive pricing, a formula that has helped the brand compete directly with Samsung and other premium smartphone makers.
