Supernet Global, a Pakistani IT and telecom company, has launched a satellite-based connectivity service in Africa, marking an expansion of Pakistan’s technology sector into international markets.
The company said its first deployment has been completed in Tanzania, where it is now providing high-capacity internet services using satellite technology in areas with limited digital infrastructure.
Focus on underserved regions
Satellite-based connectivity is increasingly being used to provide internet access in regions where traditional broadband infrastructure is limited or unavailable. The technology enables faster deployment and broader coverage compared to terrestrial networks.
Plans for wider expansion

Supernet Global said it plans to expand its operations across Africa, with a focus on investments in information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, cybersecurity services, and digital solutions.
The company did not provide a timeline for its next phase of expansion.

Industry observers say such projects could contribute to higher IT exports and foreign exchange earnings, while strengthening the country’s position in the global technology services market.
