Oppo A6x Series Offers Massive Batteries for Less Than $100

Oppo has expanded its A6 series with the launch of the Oppo A6x.

The phone arrives in two variants, a 4G model and a 5G model, with the main difference being the processor used in each version. Both phones share the same design, display, cameras, and battery capacity but differ in charging speeds and chipset performance.

Design and Display

Both phones feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,125 nits peak brightness in high-brightness mode, and GloveTouch support for easier use while wearing gloves.

The phones include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The A6x 4G is available in Ice Blue and Plum Purple, while the A6x 5G comes in Ice Blue and Olive Green, giving buyers region-specific color choices.

Internals and Software

As mentioned earlier, the main distinction between the two phones lies in the processor. The A6x 4G (model CPH2819) is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 chipset, while the A6x 5G (model CPH2823) runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300.

Aside from this, the rest of the internal setup is the same between the two devices. Both phones run ColorOS 15 and come with identical storage and RAM options depending on the region. Connectivity features also remain unchanged, except for the added 5G capability on the Dimensity variant.

Cameras

Oppo has equipped both models with a simple camera setup. The rear features a 13MP primary camera, while the front houses a 5MP selfie camera.

The company lists an additional monochrome sensor on the A6x 4G, though it has not provided details about the secondary camera on the A6x 5G. Apart from this difference, the camera systems behave similarly across both models.

Battery and Pricing

Both versions pack a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 5W reverse wired charging. The A6x 5G, however, supports 45W fast charging, while the A6x 4G does not include fast charging of any kind.

In Malaysia, the Oppo A6x 4G is priced at only $85 for the base 4GB/64GB version, with 4GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB options also available.

The Oppo A6x 5G is priced at $150 for the 4GB/64GB variant, $162 for the 4GB/128GB option, and $180 for the 6GB/128GB model.
