Farhan Saeed Calls Out Men’s Behaviour and Advises Women to Prioritise Themselves

Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed has sparked widespread discussion after making strong remarks about relationships and gender behaviour during a recent television appearance, where he encouraged women to prioritise self-respect and emotional independence.

The conversation took place during a promotional appearance alongside actress Mamya Shajaffar, where both stars were discussing themes linked to their upcoming film.

When Shajaffar suggested that many men mislead women with false promises, Saeed responded with an even more blunt observation, stating that in his view, “almost all men are fraud,” a comment that immediately caught attention online and in studio discussions.

Saeed expanded on his perspective by urging women to place self-love above romantic expectations.

He stressed that emotional dependency in relationships often leads to long-term regret and that women should avoid sacrificing their identity for partners who may not value the same commitment.

His remarks centred on the importance of boundaries, self-worth, and the need to step away from toxic cycles early rather than repeatedly forgiving harmful behaviour.

He also addressed what he described as a common misconception in relationships, where some women believe they can change a partner through love alone. According to Saeed, this mindset often leads to emotional disappointment and leaves women bearing the heavier emotional cost.

While he acknowledged that men can also experience hurt in relationships, he maintained that women are more frequently affected by long-term emotional consequences.

The discussion quickly gained traction on social media, with users debating whether his comments were an honest reflection of relationship realities or an overly generalised statement about men.

Regardless of interpretation, the remarks have added to ongoing conversations around modern relationships, emotional boundaries, and gender expectations in South Asian society.

Farhan Saeed originally rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the pop-rock band Jal before leaving in 2011 to pursue a solo music career. He later transitioned into acting, making his television debut in 2014 with De Ijazat Jo Tu.

His breakthrough came through popular dramas such as Suno Chanda, Suno Chanda 2, and Mere Humsafar, which cemented his position as one of Pakistan’s most recognisable television actors. He also made his film debut with Tich Button in 2022.

His latest remarks have now added a new dimension to his public image, blending celebrity influence with social commentary that continues to divide opinion across audiences.
