Fans can’t tolerate House of the Dragon’s dramatic climax
After a thrilling first season, House of the Dragon finally concluded on Sunday after a 10-episode run. On October 23, the Game of Thrones prequel finale became the talk of the town after it ended with a dramatic cliffhanger. Soon after the episode, titled The Black Queen, was released on HBO, the final episode caused a ruckus on social media.

Many recalled the traumatic fate of some of the beloved characters: Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys dead at the hands of Aemond’s dragon, Vhagar. One user shared a picture with Daemon saying “traumatized in High Valyrian.” While others resort to humor to explain the demise.
In contrast, some fans also expressed their dislike for the finale by mocking the show. For example, one user shared a video clip with the caption, “HBO seeing everyone canceling their subscription after the House of the Dragon finale.”
Another viewer laments his disappointment in watching the finale by comparing it to Game of Throne’s eighth season.
