Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, criticised the raid by Israeli security forces on the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem on April 15.
“Israel’s escalation of aggression is a flagrant violation of human rights and humanitarian law,” Prime Minister Binyamin declared in a tweet.
He also urged the international community to defend Palestinian civilians and uphold international law and the United Nations Charter.
Condemnable raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque & escalation of violence by Israel in gross violation of HR & humanitarian laws. We stand in solidarity with the Palestinians. Time for international community to protect innocent Palestinian lives, and uphold international law & UN Charter.

In skirmishes with Israeli riot police inside the Al-Aqsa mosque the day before, at least 152 Palestinians were hurt and more than 300 were imprisoned.
Pakistan has criticised Israel’s heinous conduct, describing “the assault on peaceful worshippers” during Ramazan as a “egregious violation of all humanitarian conventions and human rights legislation.”
“This heinous assault on worshippers, especially during the holy month of Ramazan, is an egregious violation of all humanitarian norms and human rights laws,” it said, noting that Israeli forces have killed dozens of Palestinians and injured countless others in occupied East Jerusalem and other areas in recent weeks.
The FO statement went on to say, “This escalation of brutality by Israeli forces in the Palestinian territory is abhorrent.” “We hope for the speedy recovery of those who have been hurt.” Pakistan further appeals to the international community to take immediate action to preserve the lives of innocent Palestinians and to defend international law and the UN Charter’s ideals.”
