Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to Jinnah Hospital Lahore on Monday and suspended the Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital over poor performance after receiving a plethora of complaints from the patients and attendants, reported The Asian Mirror.
During her visit, the Chief Minister also inspected the medicine store and found sufficient medicines that were being denied to the patients.
She questioned the MS that medicines were available in the medicine store; why were they not giving them to the patients?
CM Maryam also visited the Jinnah Hospital Emergency Ward and talked to patients and doctors in the emergency ward. She also enquired about medicine and medical tests.
On the occasion, patients lodged complaints about the non-availability of medicines and services in Jinnah Hospital, especially in the emergency ward.
Maryam Nawaz expressed disappointment over the non-availability of medicine in the emergency ward.
