Lower prices of patrol, electricity are signs of more money, says PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Wednesday that Pakistanis have been provided comfort in the form of lower energy and gasoline prices since the country now has more money.

The premier added that loans worth Rs2 million will be disbursed to citizens to assist them to build their homes during a ceremony to commence the disbursement of interest-free loans for persons from low-income categories under the Kamyab Pakistan Program.

He went on to say that loans worth Rs2.5 billion have already been disbursed under the initiative.

PM Imran Khan emphasized that the Kamyab Pakistan Program is aimed at transforming Pakistan into a welfare state and that it will be expanded further.

He explained that the Kamyab Pakistan Program envisions interest-free loans of Rs500,000 for enterprises, Rs350,000 for farmers, and Rs2 million for housing buildings.

The premier went on to say that one member of each qualified family will receive technical training to enable them to stand on their own two feet.

He added this road, which was envisioned by Allama Iqbal, “would drive the country towards greatness,” referring to other pro-people initiatives such as the health insurance system.

Imran Khan expressed sadness that Pakistan had previously been unable to reach its rightful place in the international community because it “did not pursue the philosophy for which it was formed.” “Nations that forget their philosophy never succeed,” he said.

By the end of March, a health card will be accessible.

The premier, speaking about the PTI-led government’s health-care effort, stated that health cards will be provided to all households in Punjab by the end of this month (March), adding that he is “proud” of the facility.

Citizens can receive treatment from the greatest hospitals through the facility.

“The most valued achievement over this three-and-a-half-year period is that individuals will be able to have health cards,” he remarked.

PM congratulates FBR for meeting tax collection targets.

PM Imran Khan also expressed delight with the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) record revenue collection, claiming that it was because of the increased revenue that the government was able to decrease petrol and diesel rates by Rs10 per litre and electricity tariffs by Rs5 per unit.

He urged people to pay their taxes, promising that the money would be used to help the needy and ease the burden of inflation on the general public.
