Osama bin Laden’s ‘close aide’ Amin al-Haq has been arrested in Gujrat.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has said Friday that they have detained Amin al-Haq, the right-hand man of Al-Qaeda founder Osama Bin Laden.
“The terrorist was apprehended during an intelligence-based operation,” DIG CTD Usman Akram Gonadal said, adding that he was arrested from Sarai Alamgir, a town in the Gujrat district.

According to the CTD, Haq was working with Osama Bin Laden since 1996 and involved in many terrorist activities.
He was also considered as one of the top fighters of Al Qaeda.

The CTD officer said that a case had been registered against Haq.
Authorities would investigate what he was doing in Pakistan.
“He was seen in Afghanistan in 2021. He also has Pakistan’s ID Card, on which Lahore and Haripur’s addresses have been provided,” the CTD officer added.
As Osama bin Laden’s ‘close aide’ arrested in Gujrat, it is important to note that the United States troops carried out a raid on bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in 2011 and killed Osama Bin Laden, who was also the mastermind of deadly 9/11 attacks.
