Hafizabad police have filed a case against the district vice president of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for stealing a few sacks of rice.
The police have also reportedly expelled PPP district vice president Karam Dad Bhatti and his family from the district.
Karam Dad Bhatti claimed that police broke down his door and arrested his brother and servants.
He claimed that the Lahore High Court (LHC) had granted him bail, but that the police were threatening to arrest him upon entering the district.
He urged Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to take notice.
