The federal government has announced tariff concessions on the import of 90 items from Uzbekistan, including reduced rates of Customs Duty (CD), Additional Customs Duty (ACD), and Regulatory Duty (RD), effective August 14, 2026.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued a formal notification implementing the concessions under the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Preferential Trade Expansion Agreement.
Notification Amends Earlier 2023 Regulation
According to S.R.O. 1349(I)/2026, issued by the FBR on Saturday, the federal government has introduced amendments to its earlier Notification No. S.R.O. 329(I)/2023, updating the framework governing preferential trade terms between the two countries.
Exemption Details Specified for Each Item
Alongside the concessional rates, the FBR has also notified the specific extent of exemptions from Customs Duty, Additional Customs Duty, and Regulatory Duty applicable to the import of each of the 90 listed items, giving importers clarity on the reduced rates now in effect.
