PlayStation has officially unveiled the free games lineup for PlayStation Plus subscribers in May 2026, offering a diverse mix of sports, action, and challenging combat experiences. All PS Plus members will be able to download and keep three titles starting May 5, as long as their subscription remains active.
Players are also reminded to claim April’s PlayStation Plus games before they rotate out next Tuesday.
PlayStation Plus Free Games – May 2026
EA Sports FC 26 (PS5, PS4)
EA’s flagship football franchise continues to build on its post-FIFA identity with EA Sports FC 26. The game delivers an extensive roster of licensed clubs, leagues, and players from around the world, paired with refined gameplay and visual upgrades.
With the FIFA World Cup approaching, the timing couldn’t be better for football fans. As an added perk, PlayStation Plus subscribers will also receive an EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack, available to redeem until the title leaves the service next month.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5)
Souls-like fans can dive into Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, an action RPG inspired by Chinese mythology and Wuxia-style combat. Set during the final, chaotic years of China’s Ming Dynasty, the game blends graceful swordplay with brutal encounters.
Players will experiment with multiple weapons, battle grotesque enemies, and unravel the mystery of a supernatural plague called Feathering, which twists humans into terrifying monsters.
Nine Sols (PS5, PS4)
Rounding out May’s lineup is Nine Sols, a stylish 2D action-platformer that blends Sekiro-inspired combat with metroidvania exploration. Featuring hand-drawn visuals and precision-based gameplay, the game follows a vengeful warrior seeking to overthrow the tyrannical rulers of a ruined realm.
A major update released last year further refined the experience, cementing Nine Sols as one of the standout indie action titles available on PlayStation.
How to Claim the Games
All three titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers from May 5, 2026. Once claimed, the games remain accessible as long as the subscription is active.
With a blockbuster football release, a dark souls-like adventure, and a critically praised 2D action game, May 2026 shapes up to be a strong month for PlayStation Plus members.
