In a surprising twist, police detained the adopted son and driver in renowned Sindhi late poet Dr Akash Ansari’s murder soon after their return after burying him in Badin, reported The Asian Mirror on Sunday.
SSP Hyderabad said that the adopted son Vishal Latif and driver Ayaz Sial were living with Dr Akash Ansari.
Police sources said that an investigation was underway for the arrested person.
Moreover, talking with The Asian Mirror Medical and Legal Officer (MLO) Dr Abdul Hameed Mughal, who also conducted an autopsy of the deceased poet, said that the final report is being prepared.
He further revealed that during detailed examination of the dead body, signs of physical torture were visible on the deceased’s body.
He said that signs of an electric shortcircuit were present on the dead body. Dr Abdul Hameed said that cuts on dead bodies showed usage of a sharp-edge weapon.
The MLO said that the late poet’s dead body was deeply burnt, and a complete post-mortem report will be finalised in ten days, but the initial report will be released by Monday (tomorrow).
