The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has summoned a meeting of its central leadership at the party’s headquarters in Mansoora, Lahore, on Thursday (today).
According to reliable sources, JI Emir Sirajul Haq has also departed Islamabad for Lahore, where the party’s gathering would take place at 3 p.m. at Mansoora.
The meeting will focus on the country’s present political condition.
The conference is being held in response to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Mansoora, during which he solicited JI’s participation on a no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
