Alia Bhatt changes her name.
Renowned Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has finally changed her name, adding the surname of her husband Ranbir Kapoor.
Her full name is now Alia Bhatt Kapoor.
During her appearance at the trailer of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, the ‘Jigra’ actress surprised her fans by calling herself ‘Alia Bhatt Kapoor.’
For the very first time, Alia introduced herself as Alia Bhatt Kapoor after more than two years of her marriage with Ranbir Kapoor.

During an interaction with actor Sunil Grover on the show, the topic of her name came up, as Grover addressed her as ‘Alia Bhatt’ upon which she quickly corrected him saying ‘It’s Alia Bhatt Kapoor’.
On the personal front, the actress married with Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 and welcomed their daughter Raha Kapoor months later.
On the work front, Alia is set to star in Jigra, where she will be seen for the first time with Vedang Raina. The film will be released on October 11. Alia not only acts in the film but is also co-producing it.

Meanwhile, Bhatt and Kapoor, who first shared the screen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva’, will be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. It was initially set to release on Christmas 2025, however, it has now been postponed to March 20, 2026.
