Why did Kangna Ranaut skip Anant Ambani’s lavish wedding despite special invitation?
Renowned Bollywood actress and Politician Kangna Ranaut lately revealed the reason for not joining Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani’s lavish wedding despite receiving a special invitation from the groom.
Claiming deliberately: “It was my brother’s wedding in those days and also I avoid such filmy weddings.”
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana Ranaut was asked about her absence from Anant Ambani’s wedding and whether she was invited to the same.
To this, the actress replied that Anant had personally invited her but she couldn’t be a part of his big day as she had a wedding at her home as well.

In her words: “Mujhe Anant Ambani ka phone aaya tha, and he is such a lovely boy. Mujhe kehta aap meri shaadi pe jaroor aana. Maine kaha ‘Dekho mere ghar pe khud ek shaadi hai’. Wo ek auspicious date thi, to mere chhote bhai ki shadi thi. Lekin khair, vaise bhi mai avoid hi karti hun aisi filmy shaadiyon me jaana. But anyways, I wish them all the best.”

Back in July 2024, Kangana Ranaut shared pictures of herself enjoying her cousin, Varun Ranaut’s pre-wedding celebrations.
Kangana looked gorgeous in a rani-pink-coloured traditional Himachali attire, which she paired with a huge maang teeka and matching earrings.
She completed her look with subtle makeup.

Sharing the pictures, Kangana also explained the various customs of a Himachali wedding and revealed the importance of family time during wedding festivities.
Kangana Ranaut allegedly took a dig at celebs who danced at Anant Ambani’s wedding
Earlier, Kangana Ranaut allegedly denounced the celebs who danced at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she penned a note that she would never dance at any individual’s wedding, no matter how much money she was offered.
She also compared herself to the late Nightingale Of Bollywood, Lata Mangeshkar, who never sang at celebrity weddings.
An excerpt from her note can be read as: “No matter how many temptations I got I never danced in the weddings, many super hit item songs were also offered to me, soon I avoided award shows. It takes strong character and dignity to say no to fame and money, in the world of shortcuts young generation needs to understand that the only wealth one can acquire is the wealth of integrity.”
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand wedding
It is important to mention here that Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in a traditional Gol Dhana ceremony on January 19, 2023, in Mumbai.
They had two grand pre-wedding soirees: one in Jamnagar in March 2024 and the other on a cruise from Italy to France in the last week of May 2024.
Anant and Radhika had a star-studded week-long pre-wedding celebration in Mumbai, followed by their wedding, which took place on July 12, 2024.
