Renowned Pakistani actor Afzal Khan, also known as Jan Rambo has expressed deep regret for not getting any national award despite his notable performances in more than 200 popular films.

His super hit ‘Donkey King’ was translated into various languages and recognized in other countries.

In a recent interview, the actor shared his anguish with the host regarding the lack of credit to artists by the entertainment industry.

He further claimed that his mother-in-law Nisho Beghum also has not received any award for her contributions.

The actor stated that even after 32 years of working in showbiz, he is yet to receive the appreciation he deserves.

After the video went viral, fans expressed sympathies with him.

One of the fans stated in the comment section: “He is legend bro why not”. Other fans commented that “People’s love is your award and nowadays the recipient of the award becomes suspicious”.

Jan Rambo honestly has resonated with many, highlighting the need for greater recognition of artists’ contributions.

Afzal Khan fame by playing a janitor nicknamed Jan Rambo in PTV’s famous comedy show Guest House (1991).

He later assumed Jan Rambo as his screen name after the Sylvester Stallone character John Rambo.

People on the TV stage had nicknamed him Jan Rambo due to his face, though certainly not his physique, resembling the Hollywood actor’s.
