Government shares update on Eidul Fitr allowance for employees. Recently, there was an online notification circulating, suggesting that the federal government had approved an Eid-ul-Fitr allowance for all employees.

This allowance was purportedly intended as a gesture of goodwill and support for celebrating one of the major Islamic festivals.

However, the Ministry of Finance promptly clarified that the notification was fake.

The fraudulent memo falsely asserted that federal employees across grades 1 to 22 would receive an Eid-ul-Fitr allowance equal to 15 percent of their basic pay.

Additionally, it claimed that this allowance would apply to all departments and divisions under the federal secretariat.
