In a move to accommodate the festive spirit of Eidul Fitr 2024, the Punjab government has declared an extensive nine holidays for Daanish schools.
The holidays entail the closure of schools from April 6 (Saturday) to April 14 (Sunday), allowing students ample time to prepare for and engage in the Eidul Fitr 2024 celebrations.
Extended Break for Festive Preparations
The decision to extend the holiday period was motivated by the desire to facilitate students in making necessary arrangements and fully immersing themselves in the joyous festivities of Eidul Fitr.

Clarification on Rumored Holiday Extension
Amid circulating rumors suggesting a four-day holiday extension from April 9 to April 12, the government has clarified that no official announcement regarding Eid holidays has been made beyond the scheduled nine-day break.
It is emphasized that the earlier rumors were unfounded, and the extended holiday period remains confined to the dates specified by the government.
Anticipated Commencement of Eid Holidays
Traditionally, Eid holidays commence a day earlier to allow individuals ample time for preparations and participation in Eid festivities.
This year, it is anticipated that the Eid holidays will begin from April 9 (Tuesday) and conclude on April 12 (Friday), coinciding with the regular weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
