Land grabber Farrukh Khokhar’s wife found dead at home. Rimsha Farrukh, the wife of a known land mafia and the daughter-in-law of late Taji Khokhar, was discovered dead at her house on Sunday, according to the police.
Police are investigating the death as a murder and suicide after family members of the deceased approached authorities earlier today.
Soon after the tragedy, images of crime kingpin Farrukh Khokhar, the famed TikToker and first cousin of estranged PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, began to circulate on social media, with posts uploaded from unverified sources claiming his arrest for allegedly murdering his wife.
According to the report, Mr. Khokhar was taken to a police station to be investigated for strangling his wife to death.
As Farrukh Khokhar’s wife found dead at home, when The Asian Mirror contacted Investigating Officer Khaleeq Ahmed, he refused to arrest Khokhar, stating that the case is being investigated from all perspectives.
Khokhar is not in police custody, according to the officer, but he will be investigated soon.
He also stated that Rimsha Farrukh’s body had been taken to a state-run hospital for medico-legal procedures.
Farrukh Khokhar is already out on bail after being arrested in the murder of PTI activist Majid Satti last year.
The controversial personality has been widely associated with land grabbers and was even placed on the Anti-Terrorism Act’s Fourth Schedule.
Farrukh Khokhar is the son of Taji Khokhar, a Pakistan People’s Party activist who was arrested last year by Rawalpindi police.
He was charged with supporting anti-social elements and having ties to land grabbers.
A judge ordered that he be included to the Anti-Terrorism Act’s Fourth Schedule. He is currently being treated in an Islamabad jail.
Taji Khokhar died in Rawalpindi on January 4, 2021. Dera Taji Khokhar hosted the funeral prayers. On social media, Bilal Khokhar confirmed the news. His death came after a long illness.
