Famous Pakistani Chaiwala now owns a cafe in London. In 2016, a blue-eyed tea vendor from Pakistan became viral after a photographer named Jiah Ali uploaded a photo of him on social media.

Arshad Khan, the chaiwala, is making waves again because he now runs a cafe in London.

Mr Khan, who went viral in 2016 for his stunning appearance, has established Cafe Chaiwala on East London’s Ilford Lane, which is primarily populated by Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis.

According to a news release from the cafe, the cafe features traditional and cultural South Asian themes such as truck art and a hand-decorated Vespa, desi paintings on the wall, and an environment that is both modern and Dhabba.

Sharing details about the cafe, Mr Khan said, “My visit is being planned and I would love to brew tea for my loving fans. I have received thousands of requests for a London visit. Our first international Chai shop is now open on Ilford Lane and the response is massive already. With the Durrani brothers, we decided to start from Ilford Lane due to the fact that it’s home to a large number of Pakistanis and Indians who love Chai. I will be in London soon in person.”

The Cafe Chaiwala is designed and styled in a way that promotes South Asian culture and gives the true feel and aesthetic of what Chai cafes should look like.

Mr Khan has been documenting his entrepreneurial progress on his Instagram account.
