King Charles asked to ‘pay’ for Wales holiday home by Prince William.
King Charles III has been requested to pay for his summer house in Wales.
His heir, Prince William, who now governs the Duchy of Cornwall, has made the request.
King Charles, who will have to pay to stay at his beloved holiday residence in Wales.
During the summer, His Majesty spends every single week near the Brecon Beacons National Park.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: “The King was quite miffed but that was the deal. It means he can continue to stay there but he will pay rent to the Duchy and the rest of the time it will be rented out.
“The King has agreed to pay for the topiary upkeep as he doesn’t want to see all the good work in the grounds go to waste.”
King Charles expressed his special love for Llwynywermod back in 2021.
“Rather 40 years too late, probably. But it’s been a wonderful opportunity, at last, to have somewhere in Wales. I come whenever I can… I’ve always felt that it’s an important part of holding this particular title.”

Charles was born in Buckingham Palace during his maternal grandfather’s reign, George VI, and was three years old when his mother, Elizabeth II, ascended to the throne, making him the heir apparent.
He was made Prince of Wales in 1958, and his investiture took place in 1969.
He attended Cheam School and Gordonstoun before spending six months at Geelong Grammar School’s Timbertop campus in Victoria, Australia.
Charles served in the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy from 1971 to 1976 after receiving a history degree from the University of Cambridge.
