In a significant operation shortly before Eidul Azha, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided a godown in Attock and recovered bottles carrying 5,571 litres of contaminated cold drinks.
According to a PFA spokesman, a case had been filed against the proprietor of the godown, who had been selling these drinks under various brand names throughout the city.
The spokesman went on to say that the Authority was keeping tabs on those who were producing and selling inferior and contaminated food in order to protect people’s health.
