Dollar devalues again Pakistani rupee

According to the report, the value of the US dollar is constantly rising, as the greenback has gained 11 paisas against the Pakistani rupee, and the dollar is now being swapped in inter-bank trade for Rs178.

The rupee has been steadily losing value in recent months, making the dollar more expensive by the day. It lost 11 paisas in inter-bank transactions today (Tuesday), and the dollar rate jumped to Rs178.

At the close of inter-bank transactions on Monday, the rate of the dollar was Rs177.89. The US dollar gained 60 paisas against the rupee in the open market Tuesday, reaching a fresh high of Rs180.50.

Other currencies surged in the open market on Monday, with the British pound increasing by 70 paisas to Rs237. In addition, the Emirati dirham gained 40 paisas against the Pakistani rupee, reaching Rs50.30. The Saudi Riyal remained steady at Rs 47.55, and the Euro remained unchanged at Rs 201.70.
