The van was traveling from Zhob to Lora Lai when it went off the road and into a ditch near Akhtar Zai.
According to preliminary reports, 12 people were killed and 9 others were seriously injured in the incident. It is feared that the actual number of casualties will be higher than reported.
Rescue crews rushed to the scene. In addition to them, Qila Saifullah deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner, and others arrived at the venue.
