Pakistan Arrests Three in Alleged RAW Espionage Case Using Honey Trap Network

Pakistani security agencies have arrested and secured convictions against three individuals accused of espionage linked to India’s intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), according to security sources.

Officials said the accused were detained following surveillance operations and later sentenced under the Official Secrets Act after completion of legal proceedings.

Investigators allege the individuals were recruited through “honey trap” tactics on social media, where they were contacted by women linked to the alleged network. Authorities claim these interactions were used to manipulate the suspects into sharing sensitive information.

Sources further stated that the accused admitted during questioning to transmitting confidential data in exchange for money and online interactions. Payments were reportedly routed through Easypaisa accounts, bank transfers, and cryptocurrency wallets.

Security officials said the suspects were from Narowal, Bahawalpur, and the Neelum district in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials described the operation as part of ongoing counterintelligence efforts to dismantle foreign espionage networks operating inside the country, while urging citizens to remain cautious of suspicious online contacts.
