Vince Zampella, the renowned co-creator of Call of Duty and creator of Battlefield 6, has tragically died in a car crash, Electronic Arts (EA) confirmed on Monday. He was 55 years old.
The accident occurred on Sunday when Zampella was driving his Ferrari on a scenic route north of Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the car went off the road for unknown reasons, struck a concrete barrier, and was engulfed in flames.
Both Zampella and a passenger, who was ejected from the vehicle, died from their injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
